- Our current offering: Ecuador Puyango Forest
- This coffee comes from the Loja province, in southern Ecuador. Ecuador produces less than 1% of the world's coffee, but a young and rapidly developing special coffee segment has emerged in the last twenty years. The first- and second- generation coffee producers in Puyango have started to grow Acaua & Obata genetic lines alongside traditional coffee varieties. Acaua & Obata are very productive and disease-resistant crops, and their introduction to Ecuador represents a new frontier in coffee as producers adapt to changing climate conditions.
