Our English Breakfast is a robust black tea with a bold, malty flavor; if you're looking for a "breakfast tea", this is it!
We use a Ceylon Orange Pekoe (OP) tea. Ceylon is the prior name of Sri Lanka, where this tea is grown. "Orange Pekoe" is the grading designation for a high quality tea picked from the youngest tea leaves on a plant (the "first flush"). In the 17th century, orange was the color of the Dutch Royal Family, so these high grade teas became named "Orange Pekoe" as a marker of quality - no orange flavor involved.
Our pyramid sachet tea bags allow us to use the same high quality teas we offer in our loose leaf series, offering flavor and quality with convenience. The tea bags are crafted from polylactic acid (PLA), which is derived entirely from renewable resources, such as corn.
