Out of the roaster




The Fazenda roastery opens to the public every third Thursday of the month from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. (May - October). We'll tour our roastery and host a class highlighting different educational topics from origin to roasting process to tasting new coffees to everything in-between. Classes are free and space is limited. Registration required.

ROASTING | Thursday, May 16, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
This will be an extended tour of the roastery and we’ll talk about the roasting process and how/why it impacts a coffee's flavor. We’ll also taste coffees that have been roasted differently and discuss what we’re tasting. 

COLD BREW |Thursday, June 20, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
We'll discuss how best to make cold brew. We’ll taste different Fazenda coffees and discuss what we’re tasting and how they've been prepared.

COFFEE CUPPING | Thursday, July 18, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Learn about the traditional process of coffee cupping and why/how it is instrumental for coffee professionals today (from farmers to roasters). 

COLD COFFEE | Thursday, August 15, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Join us at the roastery as we talk about methods for brewing cold coffee. We’ll taste different Fazenda coffees and discuss what we’re tasting and how they've been prepared. Register here.

RESERVE COFFEE TASTING | Thursday, October 17, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
We’ll be sampling a few of our reserve coffees and talk about what makes them unique to their producers and country of origin. Try our latest reserve launching next month! Register here.

We’re located at 502 Sprague Street Dedham MA 02026 (behind the Dedham TV Station). Parking is available. We’re also a 10-minute walk from the Readville MBTA Commuter Rail Station.

Expanding Your Coffee Palate

Join Boston's Fazenda Coffee Roasters Eric Lepine, master roaster and green coffee buyer, as he explores a brief overview of the history of coffee and the journey of coffee from farm to roaster to your cup. This interactive class will lead you through a traditional 'coffee cupping' and you'll taste coffees from respected coffee regions around the world. You will expand your coffee palate to better recognize unique flavor notes and nuances of each unique coffee. You will also take home a 12 oz. bag of limited-edition coffee from Fazenda's seasonal reserve program.

Chocolate and Coffee Tasting

The making of specialty chocolates and coffees start long before they become your guilty pleasure or morning ritual, beginning at similar often the same farms found all around the world. The process and journey of growing and making both is similar to wine, with each bean having distinct flavor notes that impact the final product. Join Victoria Kichuk, Owner and Operator of Cocoa Beantown, and Eric Lepine, Master Roaster and Green Coffee Buyer at Fazenda Coffee Roasters as they guide you from cacao and coffee beans to single original bars and brewed coffees. Taste five pairings carefully curated for their flavor potential, match by these experts! Learn about bean sourcing and the production process from start to finish, while appreciating the nuances of each selection. This class is perfect for the chocolate and coffee lover!
