Out of the roaster



This summer Fazenda Coffee Roasters Roastery will be open to the public every third Thursday of the month from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. (July - October). These classes are free and space is limited. Registration Required.

We invite you to join us each month for a tour of our roastery and class highlighting different educational topics from origin to roasting process to tasting new coffees and everything in-between. We’re constantly looking to learn more and grow as coffee experts and invite you to get involved and join us.

Thursday, July 19, 2018 | 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. NICARAGUA SAN PAYO: Come try our newest limited reserve and learn more about what makes this coffee so unique.  

Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 | 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. COLD COFFEE: Join us at the roastery as we talk about methods for brewing cold coffee. We’ll taste different Fazenda coffees and discuss what we’re tasting and how they've been prepared.  

Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 | 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. ROASTING: This will be an extended tour of the roastery and we’ll talk about the roasting process and how/why it impacts a coffee's flavor. We’ll also taste coffees that have been roasted differently and discuss what we’re tasting. Register today!  (Limited availability!)

Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018 | 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. RESERVE TASTING: We’ll be sampling a few of our reserve coffees and talk about what makes them unique to their producers and country of origin. Register today!

We’re located at 502 Sprague Street Dedham MA 02026. Parking is available. We’re also a 10-minute walk from the Readville MBTA Commuter Rail Station.

Wednesday, October 10, 2018 | 6 p.m. 

CoffeeCupJoin coffee expert and owner of Boston’s Fazenda Coffee Roasters Philip Schein and Master Roaster/Green Coffee Buyer Eric Lepine as they explore the ever-changing landscape of coffee. They will guide you through the history and origins of coffee and how it has grown to be an essential part of your day.

Guests will participate in an interactive “coffee cupping” and taste coffees from respected coffee regions around the world. Schein and Lepine will teach guests how to expand their coffee palates and recognize unique flavor notes. The evening will end with questions and answers, and all will take home a twelve-ounce bag of limited edition coffee from Fazenda Coffee Roasters’ seasonal reserve program.

HOME BREW COFFEE WORKSHOP @ Cambridge Adult Education Center

Saturday, October 13, 2018 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

Join Philip (Founder and CEO, Fazenda Coffee Roasters) and Eric (Master Roaster and Green Coffee Buyer) in this interactive home brewing class. You’ll learn about what factors affect the brewing of coffee and why they matter. We’ll take these ideas and learn how to practically apply them across an assortment of coffee brewing devices. You’ll leave with more than just brew recipes but an understanding of how to maximize and troubleshoot their brewing. You’ll also receive a 12 oz. bag of limited edition coffee from Fazenda Coffee Roasters’ reserve program.
