Sencha is a delicate & rich green tea that's an every day drinker in Japan; it brews as a bright green tea, with a clean and distinct buttery, sweet finish with flavors of steamed greens and pine.
Our Sencha comes from the southern-most tea producing region in Japan, Kagoshima. Japanese Sencha is distinct because of its processing: once picked, the tea leaves are steamed, instead of the roasting process used with Chinese green teas. After steaming, the tea is rolled and shaped into a distinctive thin, cylindrical shape.

Brewing Suggestions: Brew using 1 teaspoon (2.5 grams) for 10 oz. of water at 175°F / 80°C. Steep for 3-5 minutes.
